Karmen E. Galman

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

I completed my graduate training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Oregon Health and Science University, School of Nursing. I have been in part-time private practice since licensure in 2002.

I specialize in Major Depressive Disorder and Anxiety Disorders, but I also treat clients with Bipolar disorder, ADD/ADHD, and PTSD. I treat clients between the ages of 20-60 only.

I utilize a holistic approach for medication treatment plans, incorporating both traditional Western medicine and non-traditional approaches, tailoring treatments to your individual needs, as well as your philosophical beliefs when possible.

My style is collaborative and education focused. I encourage your full participation and feedback in the decision making and treatment process. The therapy framework that I utilize is slightly eclectic, with strong influences of both cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindful-based cognitive therapy (MBCT).

I work part-time and have office hours from 9am until 3pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10am until 8pm on Wednesdays. Evening hours are reserved for existing clients only. I do not have office hours on Mondays, Fridays, or on the weekends.
